AFI Gains Companies Accreditation

AFI Gains Companies Accreditation

AFI, which employs about 500 staff, has been awarded Best Companies accreditation at the first time of entering the scheme. Best Companies accreditation follows the Michelin star-style rating system for organisations that show high levels of employee engagement.

Jonathan Austin, CEO of Best Companies, said: “I would like to congratulate AFI on their outstanding achievement. This year it is encouraging to see that more and more organisations are recognising the value of employee engagement and are willing to benchmark themselves against the best to ensure they are offering their employees the best possible experience. Organisations like AFI have continued to focus on their employees and have been rewarded with an engaged workforce who tell us that this is a great place to work.”

Run by Best Company Ltd – the company behind the ‘Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For’ listing – it uses a staff survey and questionnaire to look at factors including leadership, employee/manager relationships, how proud employees are to work for the organisation, their personal wellbeing and whether they feel challenged in their job.

Organisations then receive a Best Companies index score to determine their star rating. As a result of gaining this rating, AFI will feature in the Best Companies Guide 2017 and official website, which contain information on the UK’s best workplaces.

AFI Internal Training Manager, Mark Jones, said: “We continue to work very hard in making AFI a great place to work. Considerable effort is made to develop our people, incentivise them and reward them for their hard work. We have a special atmosphere at AFI and this is all down to the fantastic teamwork that takes place on a day-to-day basis. We are very proud to receive this accreditation and every one of our team members should be proud as it would not have been possible without them.”
