02 Dec 2014 AFI-Uplift Acquires Altitude Access
AFI has strengthened its presence in the East Midlands by acquiring Altitude Access, which has a turnover of £1.6m, a rental fleet of 180 powered access machines and a depot in Mansfield. The Altitude Access brand will be incorporated into the AFI brand.
AFI Director, Steve Williams, said:

They also have the reassurance of working with a company that has recently gained Investors In People Gold status.”
AFI has a fleet of approximately 5,000 machines and turnover of over £50 million. The operations of the AFI group of companies are: HIRE: AFI-Uplift, Wilson Access Hire, AJ Rentals and Access Rental Gulf; TRAINING: UTN Training and Integrated Training; SALES: AFI Resale.
The AFI acquisition follows a current year investment of over £10 million in over 600 new access platforms and a further expenditure of over £1 million in its delivery and service van fleets.
