Expansion for UK Sundecks

Expansion for UK Sundecks

UK Sundecks has expanded its operations, relocating to a new 12,000 sq ft premises near Stourbridge in the West Midlands, a move which further strengthens Omar Group’s position as the leading manufacturer and solutions provider to the parks industry.

Given UK Sundecks’ strong growth since the first national lockdown, the relocation of the business to its new, larger premises at Randle House in Lye will provide the Group with a Midlands hub for customer meetings.  This will include an additional customer specification room for all of the Group’s businesses and a facility which will enable UK Sundecks to triple their current sales, in-line with the Group’s ambitious growth plans.

Omar Group acquired UK Sundecks in 2018.  Founded by father and son team Dave and Jake Randle, the business, whilst under their leadership, earnt a reputation as being the UK’s leading supplier of high-quality uPVC and Millboard decking.

Since acquiring the business, a strong management team has been put together to fill the void left by the Randles stepping away.  Rob Frankum joined the business as Managing Director, Kieron Heath joined recently as Factory Manager and Aaron Woodall was promoted, through an outstanding service record, to the position of Technical Manager.  Rob and the team are ably supported by Sharon Bullock, Office Manager, Courtney Wilkinson as Sales Coordinator and a fully-trained, in-house team of fabricators and installation technicians; sub-contractors are never used in-line with the companies motto: ‘Where Quality Comes First’.

Dean Westmoreland, Group Chairman commented: “UK Sundecks made a fantastic addition to Omar Group when the business was acquired in 2018, and supports our proposition of being a turnkey solutions provider to the park and leisure home industry.  Rob Frankum has done a great job in leading the business in the ten months he’s been with us.  I wish Rob and the team every success in their new facility which, as well as providing the opportunity for UK Sundecks to triple its sales, will also provide a Midlands meeting hub and a customer specification room for the Group’s park home, luxury lodge and holiday home businesses.”

Rob Frankum, Managing Director for UK Sundecks said: “With a strong sales pipeline and increased demand for high quality durable decking at both residential and holiday parks, we had outgrown our previous premises. The new facility will allow us to improve our processes, expand our operations and offer better service to our customers which in turn provides a fantastic opportunity for growth. It’s a new and exciting chapter for UK Sundecks.”
