09 Aug 2018 Leasys Announces New Fortnightly Sale Programme at Aston Barclay Donnington
Leasys UK has appointed Aston Barclay Donington as its new remarketing partner to dispose of ex-contract hire vehicles. It will enter 100-150 used cars every fortnight into the Donington fleet sale to include a mix of two and three-year old cars from the Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, Abarth and Maserati brands.
The Leasys remarketing team chose Donington due to its unique blend of physical and digital channels as well as its close vicinity to the M1 – the perfect place to remarket its used cars. With a fleet of 13,000 vehicles, Leasys is the latest high-profile vendor to sign up to the Thursday fleet sale, which has grown to 450 cars within just nine months of its launch.
The announcement coincides with the start of Donington’s expansion from its current eight-acres to its capacity of 18-acres over the next six months.
“Donington has a first-class physical auction environment in a great location near the M1 motorway. The adoption of new and exciting digital technologies will help place our stock in front of more virtual buyers and the site expansion ensures it can handle increased volumes as our fleet continues to grow,” said Alan Verlaan, Leasys UK’s remarketing manager.
“We welcome Leasys to Donington and look forward to them adding a great mix of new stock to our fleet sale. Our next round of expansion means Donington can accommodate bigger sales and dedicated brand sales for leasing companies and OEMs. It’s an exciting phase in the group’s expansion,” said Neil Hodson, Aston Barclay Group’s CEO.
