17 May 2022 Record Growth for WN VTech
WN VTech – formerly Woodall Nicholson – has seen a twofold year-on-year growth in orders following five years of successive top-line revenue growth.
Order book levels soared over the £100 million mark in December 2021, and 2022 has started equally strongly.
WN VTech has this year additionally seen significant interest in the all-electric, zero-emissions Sigma bus range from Mellor launched at the beginning of 2022. BINZ International saw increased demand for their Tesla, H2 and H4 ceremonial vehicles across Europe and in the brand’s home market of Germany in particular.
In the last five years there has also been considerable investment into the Group’s production facilities – with the Mellor site in Rochdale extended by 20,000 sq. ft in 2017 and sites in Bradford and Scarborough earmarked for expansion over the next 12 months.
CEO of WN VTech, Frank Barrett, said: “These achievements come off the back of significant investment across the Group – from our product portfolio to our engineering capability and specifically our electrification capabilities.
“Across the Group, there is a shared passion to deliver positive social change and truly drive the future of sustainable vehicle technology. This is our vision. Specifically, we would be nothing without our people – it’s their expertise and our integrated tech offer that will ensure we continue to push boundaries and help our customers solve the most complex challenges for years to come.
“The evolution of our offering and the success of each of our businesses has given way to a new identity I am extremely proud of: WN VTech. It’s a brand which better reflects what Woodall Nicholson has become and will be central to our expanding international operations and an important factor in the growth over the coming years.”
WN VTech is made up of six specialist vehicle brands – Mellor, Coleman Milne, BINZ International, Treka Bus, VCS Ltd and Promech Technologies.
