Rutland Invests in Omar Group

Rutland Partners is pleased to announce that on 18 April 2017 it completed an investment in Omar Group (Omar).

Omar is the UK’s leading designer and manufacturer of park homes and luxury lodges and sets the industry standard for quality, design and innovation. Omar is differentiated through its range, quality of product and reputation for excellent pre and post sales service among its customers. With operations in Suffolk and Hull, producing over 1,000 units per year, Omar is ideally placed to supply in excess of 150 parks throughout the UK and has outperformed a growing market in recent years.

Under the leadership of Dean Westmoreland, the business has built a cohesive value proposition to the sector and encompasses four distinct and respected brands: Omar Park & Leisure Homes, Wessex Unique Lodges & Park Homes, Omar Park Development Services (OPDS) and Boutique Lodges, Holidays by Omar.

Omar represents an exciting scale opportunity for Rutland to support Dean Westmoreland and an experienced management team to further expand and build on the current operational and expansion plans, both organic and inorganic, for the business.

Omar is the fourth investment from Rutland Fund III. The transaction was led on behalf of Rutland by David Wardrop, Michael Reynolds, Matthew Hamilton-Allen and Sarah Hollyhead, supported by Nick Morrill.

David Wardrop of Rutland, said: “We are delighted to have completed our investment in Omar. Omar has a great product offering with a leading reputation for quality and customer service and is well positioned for future growth. We are backing an excellent management team, led by Dean Westmoreland, who have a proven track record and we look forward to working with them to further develop the business over the coming years.”

Dean Westmoreland, CEO of Omar, said: “We are all very excited as we enter the next stage in Omar Group’s growth strategy; we are now better placed than ever to continue our expansion in this exciting and dynamic market. Our luxury holiday lodges offer an aspirational holiday experience for the UK holiday market and our park homes offer much needed single storey, age-appropriate accommodation for the over 50’s looking to downsize. I look forward to leading the group in the next stage of its development and have no doubt that we as a business will benefit from the contribution Rutland Partners will make to our endeavours.”
