Rutland Makes Three New Appointments

Rutland Partners, the specialist turnaround and restructuring investor, announces three new appointments. Oliver Jones and David Wingfield have both been promoted to Partner and Mike Harris has been appointed Partner, Investor Relations & Finance.

Oliver Jones joined Rutland in 2004 from KPMG and has both new investment and portfolio experience. He was actively involved in Rutland’s acquisition of Advantage Healthcare, a flexible healthcare services provider and Attends Healthcare, a manufacturer and supplier of branded and own label healthcare products, as well as sourcing new investment opportunities.

David Wingfield joined Rutland in 2005 from Close Brothers Corporate Finance and has been heavily involved in Rutland’s acquisition of CeDo, a leading European manufacturer of household disposable products and GEMS International, a world leading subsea technical analysis and surveying business. David is also involved in portfolio company NoteMachine, the leading ATM deployer in the UK as well as deal origination.

Mike Harris joined Rutland in 1990 and has been an investment partner since the formation of Rutland Fund I in 2000. During his time at Rutland, Mike has been responsible for both leading transactions and for the delivery of strategic restructuring plans within portfolio businesses in the industrial, manufacturing, energy and consumer goods sectors. His investments have included Carron Energy and Pulse Home Products. In his new role, Mike will be responsible for investor relations, including developing new and existing Limited Partner relationships in addition to finance and remaining on Rutland’s Investment Committee.

These appointments further develop the Rutland team which will continue to focus on investing in underperforming UK companies to create stability, strategic change and improved performance.
Commenting on these appointments, Michael Langdon, Chairman of Rutland Partners, said:

“We are delighted to have both Oliver and David join the Partnership. They have been major contributors to our investment activities since they joined and we are pleased to recognise their achievements with this promotion. We are also delighted to have Mike lead our Investor Relations & Finance activities. This will help to cement both new and existing investor relationships as Rutland actively seeks to develop its investor base.”
