Woodall Nicholson Creates New Technology Division

 

Woodall Nicholson, the specialist vehicle design & manufacturing group behind some of the UK’s leading specialist vehicle brands including Coleman Milne, Mellor, Treka and VCS, has created a fourth division to its group portfolio.  The new technology division provides a dedicated innovation and technical platform which will allow wider market reach for its existing and new products, while specialising in advanced technology in practical applications.

The technology division will be spearheaded by Woodall Nicholson’s evolving ProMech Technologies company in Scarborough, drawing on core competences in driveline engineering, innovative low-floor chassis design and eMobility solutions.  The new division will also benefit from the appointment of John Randerson who takes up the position of Chief Technology Officer for Woodall Nicholson with responsibility for accelerating technical advances across all of Woodall Nicholson’s vehicle manufacturing divisions.

With John Randerson’s technical background, ProMech Technologies presents a unique proposition, to support existing and new relationships with OEMs which will bring exciting technical innovations, including new advances in eMobility, to market.  Woodall Nicholson is committed to enhancing its product portfolio across all its brands, to suit its customers and market needs for cleaner, more efficient and cost effective vehicles as well as servicing wider European markets and evolving key strategic opportunities internationally.

With a societal move towards a more sustainable future, Woodall Nicholson already possesses a host of ‘green’ credentials, including electric vehicle and lightweight economical chassis design expertise.  John and his team at ProMech Technologies can provide its customers with an array of innovative solutions to optimise vehicle electrification, assisting a wide range of markets practically transition from diesel to zero-emission eMobility.
